Maybe he could sell them to the state for public viewing. But wasn't it SC who had the help of the FBI in recovering its copy of the Declaration of Independence taken by a Union soldier at the end of the war? Ironic that they wanted their document back, and now want to acquire his, even though there are some similarities. I guess the court felt the letters were taken for safe keeping, but the Declaration was outright stolen. Stan
