One of your serious academics posted a really good breakdown of Southern wealth/acreage per person, and ended with something regarding how Mississippi went from the wealthiest state to the poorest state and remained like that for 140 years. It has been sometime since this posting appeared and I called myself saving it as it was so informative, but I did not.

I putting a little paper together and honestly do not have time to research what one of you good people already had and posted it on this board.
