And what happens when Civil disobedance becomes uncivil?
That is why there is a procedure in place within the law to change the law. That is the reason our United States Constitution and every state constitution have amendments. We can change the law as we need to when the majority of the people can be convienced that it is the right thing to do.
That just seemed to be too inconvient for some. Mainly because they don't think they can get what they want by legal means and methods.
That is the same attitude as to why we have an illegal immigrantion problem today. It is just too inconvient to follow the prescribed procedure to become a citizen. And there are people who use that as an excuse to violate our law. Just as there were those who used the immorality of slavery as an excuse to violate the law.
I don't buy your arguement that civil disobedence is a good method of changing the law. Because you can never predict with and degree of certainty the reaction people will have to that disobedence.
