Yes I can agree with that. We usually talk with those who think as we do. The fact is we do have a strong central government. The better to pass out those welfare checks. On the other hand, the only country that I know in the world that one person can bring about a vote on any one issue is Switzerland. Then he has to garner some thousand of signatures to do so. In a country of our size direct democracy on every issue just would not work. I believe the closes we come to that is..oh my...the New England town meeting.
