Stephen, in what way did your grandfather live differently than his grandfather did? Where are all the factories in the South after the Civil war, that Southerners were forced to work at? The South was still an agrarian society for decade upon decade upon decade. Could not both George and you have bought land and worked it? I don't know either one of you, but you seem like pretty decent guys and I also get the feeling you have both made a good living. Now for the life of me, I can't see where a government and way of life you have lived under for five generations passed the war has hurt you financially more than it had helped you.
