It was F.C.Humphrey's father Gad who was the Seminole agent. I don't know if there was any connection to Anderson or even if the two ever met. What is interesting to me is that so many of these men who had fought together somewhere ended up in such a difficult situation.
I have been trying to find out what/why the Arsenal was surrendered in December when the Commanding Officer was away. I'm sure the South Carolina Militia knew he was, but just for personal reasons, I can't help but wonder if Humphrey's gave in too early or if he meant to do so?
