David, is this an effort to white wash Lincoln, or is this guy really on the up and up? If he is really being honest then not all of Lincoln's cabinet were eager for a War and actually had the welfare of the President at hand.

It seems that somehow Lincoln had gathered a group of dishonest snakes together. My comment to this is the ole adage "Birds of a Feather". Lincoln had to know what kind of power mongers he had appointed before making the appointments. Maybe his appointments were a selection of people of the same mind.
