Mixed Races, Indian and White

I think you misunderstood what I posted. This new history of the Creek War in what is now Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida called "A Conquering Spirit" is pointing out that mixed raced peoples of white and Indian were considered white by the white people and governments prior to 1815 and considered indian by the Creeks (if the mother was the a pure Creek Native American). It was racist by our standards but everyone back then was and in a different way than were are used to in our history.

These mixed raced indians had the full rights of white men, they could claim it through their fathers.
