Re: Mixed Races, Indian and White

We have tribal divisions here also. There is the Poarch Creek in Atmore, Alabama and there is another 'branch' in Santa Rosa County, Florida and now we have still another in Escambia County, Fl. I'm not sure where the latter two fall in the BIA list. When we get papers about things, they come from the BIA out of Oklahoma. We do not get anything from the Poarch Creek. It depends on how the name falls on the rolls. I don't quite understand it because hubby's family was in the Atmore, Bay Minette area.
There is a new museum and history center for the Creeks going to be built here, near NAS Pensacola, in the near future.
