Re: NC Clothing and the Blockade

The picture posted is an early war Jacket issued to a James T. Meade, Co.K in the 18th Mississippi.

I thought it was one of those Tait Jackets imported, but it's different material/color, and construction was different. I know someone who knows more about this jacket's construction and material, I'll ask him what he knows.

This was taken at the Texas Civil War Museum here in FT. Worth, TX.
