You guys facinate me, you have this clean pristine definition of "being American" and you haven't a clue how this Country came to be. It was by ""Un-American"" men carrying rifles wishing to establish a Country to suit themselves.
America was founded by the Rifle, not the ballot. The rifle guaranteed the rights of the ballot, not vice versa. To take up the Rifle to free yourself of political subjugation is how Americans have done it since 1774, that is the American Way.
The forefathers of the Confederate States of America were just as American as the founders of the United States (plural). They both wish to create their country in peace but they were not left that option, they didn't vote, they fired.
