That is how I thought you meant it. Just checking. Some nonSouthern folks use that to include all who are trying to understand the reasons and the reactions of our ancestors. We know the results.

The sad people in my opinion, are those of any side who are closed to any discussion on the subject. These are the ones who do not encourage learning in our youth. The general knowledge of our young in American History at this point is at best, terrible. The reasons this nation was founded escapes many of them. Sad reality check for our generation.

We may not be starving today but the land and the close family connections have been altered.
