Chase, thank you for your response. Over the years I have been posting on this board, particularly when I was more active than I am at present, it has been my observation that when "friction" arises between posters, it is quite often a result of a short or hasty response to a post that may have required more time on the part of the poster to research and prepare than the responder might imagine.

If all of us were to keep this in mind (myself included), I believe the frequency with which posters resent other posters would diminish, possibly significantly.

It seems to me that most of us simply enjoy feeling that our contributions are taken seriously by those who take the time to respond - even if what we posted may leave something to be desired in terms of clarity, conciseness, completeness or citations (my 4-C's).

By the way, since you raised the question - "Br'er Boz" came about at a time several years ago when there were three Dennis' posting simultaneously on this board.

Being a big fan of Joel Chandler Harris' Uncle Remus stories (in the original Negro dialect) and trying to distinguish myself from the other two, I simply adopted the "Br'er" and plugged it in front of my own longstanding nickname, "Boz," and it seems to have stuck.
