Yeah, the Confederates were so ingorant that they had to carry their "Greek Fire" on the end of a stick. I think they called it a match. Or was it a Lucifer?. LoL
No seriously I know the Confederates had the same ability as the Union did. I just don't remember reading of an incident where the Confederates use this in the manner that the Union army and navy did.
I remember that the St. Albin raiders reportedly tryed to use it. But it wasn't successful. So was their attempt to create a diversion in that raid really a use of Greek fire? And the St Albin's Raid was well after the introduction of Greek Fire by the Union as a weapon at Vicksburg.
Can anyone cited another use of "Greek Fire" by the Confederacy.
