OK. Thanks for the reply.

I am interested in all information concerning Northern occupation. No particular day or incident. I do not have access to articles from the Picayne. I was just curious if the papers had the nerve to publish anything the Yankees would consider treason.

I know that in any occupied region, the Yankees "borrowed or rented" slaves for their own use with the blessing of the Federal government. This is well documented. Does the book have anything to say about that?

BTW, speaking of slaves, in all the photos of soldiers who have their blacks in camp with them, in the Southern case the blacks are called slaves and in the Northern camps the blacks are called man servants. What is your opionion of the difference?
