I well remember Chosin. The ship upon which I served was part of the Task Force that helped evacuate the Marines from Chosin. The surface temperature was forty degrees below zero and many of the Marines were suffering from frost bite and frozen extremities.
One would think that the first thing that would be taken care of after the fight and advance to the rear by the Marines when the Chinese entered into the Korean War would have been to get in a hot shower and eat a hot meal.
Not these Gyrenes...the first thing they did after getting their wounded and the few dead which they brought out taken care of was to clean their rifles and other equipment.
I don't want men such as those Marines angry at me...that would be bad for your health.
