I was in the wrong War,,,,LOL

A freind of mine has a GG Grandfather that was working in a rock quarry in Illinois for five dollars a month in 1855, he quit and joined the US Cavalry for Ten Dollars a month and doubled his wages. But consequently Nine years later he met a Confederate General in Tennessee and wound up in Andersonville. I don't think that was worth it.
