I remember during the war my dad , a skilled tool and die maker, made 40 cents an hour! Of course, a loaf of bread was from 3 to 5 cents, and a movie was a dime. When I got out of the Navy I was making about $125 a week. My first movie job was $155 a week. When I freelanced I got a $100 a day, but those days were scarce! I went to work as a security officer at $1.60 per hour. One pay period when Hosea Williams was striking at Rich's, I worked so many hours I made more than the company president! Maybe that's why they sold the company out from under me! Of couse, by then I was Chief of Security. LOl Stan
