Re: Eastern Kentucky
In Response To: Eastern Kentucky ()

It is firmly believed that if the cold ashes of this great conflict were subjected to a chemical analysis, it would still, after more than a hundred years, show traces of venom.

Sounds like "the war to settle the score that never got settled". I often thought about those feuds across the river in Kentucky and wondered the cause. So sad.

Martin, on all the boards I've been on most folks who live in the North, favor the North and those in the South, the South. You are the first person I've ever meant from south of the Ohio River to uphold their US ancestors during the war. I'm sure now there are more, But I've not meant them. Well, I have lurked on the Missouri board and they seem to still be going toe to toe. Martin as Paul said, I doff my hairpiece to you for sticking with the Union

PS. liked that saying you had one time about "I would fight them till hell froze over and then I would fight them on the ice." Keep those Kentucky war stories coming. Interesting.

Chase.
