My Grandpa had a Redbone Hound (Bloodhound). I can say this about Bloodhounds from my own bite scar, they will bite. This in itself does not make me an expert, but I believe if a Bloodhound was put on someone, he would bite that person to please his master. Old Jack thought I was breaking into Grandpa's storage building, an old one room stone house that people used to live in. So I believe the second story, I have seen Redbone Hounds track people and heard of a story of one tracking a man down a railroad track after he jumped a train. Can't testify to the truth of it but they are good and will bite.
