I agree the Constitutional Rights should go to those who "earned" them. But no authority should have the right to dismis our rights.

Take Lincoln and Maryland, Lincoln made the agreement to go around Maryland and then sent in the "Beast" Butler to arrest and hold Baltimore. They gathered all the firearms in the city without warrants and arrested anyone who was suspicioned to be a Southern Sympathyser.

In Kentucky Lincoln raised holy heck that Confederates raised a Regiment across the river from said "Neutral" State while his Union generals mustered several Regiments inside the "Neutral" State. Must I add in violation of the neutrality agreements of the States.

I personaly believe he would have played his hand out even if he had to become King. He meant what he said when he made the statement "I will be President of a Whole Nation or None at all".
