Re: Battle of Round Mountain Creek I.T.

It seems that what really set the McIntosh faction off and started the split between the Upper Creeeks and Lower Creeks is Opoethleyahola of the Upper Creeks to Chief McIntosh of the Lower Creeks not to sign a treaty unless the whole tribe did, in 1825. Well Chief McIntosh didn't listen to an Upper Creek, no more than the Uppers would listen to the Lowers. So he did and the Lower Creeks began removal to Indian Territory. Opoethleyahola accused MCintosh of treason and had him tryed and convicted of such. Then Opoethleyahola assassinated McIntosh by cutting his head off. Thus Chilly and D.N. McIntosh both hated Opoethleyahola. Opothleyahola finally signed a treaty in 1832 and began their "trail of tears". Strangely enough the Lowr Creeks settled in Northern Creek Nation leaving the Southern portion to the Upper Creek, just oposite as it had been in Alabama.

You could be right on that PTSD problem,,,,
