But I will side with Chase on the Bierce thing. Robt E. Lee, as great as he was (and he was), was as wooden as a two-by-four in his C/W years. Lee makes Al Gore look like Robin Williams.
Having said that, Lee knew where the fun was in camp. That's why he invariably gravitated to Longstreet, not Jackson. I mean, how many lemons can you suck for fun?
