Hi,Paul !

Thanks for your appreciation of my efforts. You may not know that the radio have been on the air for nearly 3 years - and I have covered several battles with both a Union and Confederate view of it - even music too. This will continue, because in the view of history itself - a story have always more than one side. If you have listen to the radio during these years you would understand that both views of the war have and are been aired. I have avoided the political arena of it, because it is very complex - and instead focused on the battles, regiments and music.

I have been in the US once,Paul - and have never been physically at Gettysburg at all. Personally I have "avoided" Gettysburg in my presentation of the war due to the heavy concentration of it in the CW media and history. I believe the battle have been given too much attention. From my point of view, the battle of Fort Doneldson did have a far greater impact on the war. The presentation of this battle on the radio was with a Union view,by the way.

I have profiled Winfield Scott Hancock, and he was a great man and soldier of what I have read about him. I am sure there are men from both sides of the battle line than can conclude in that statement. I do need to read more about him in depth to get to know him better as a person and soldier. This is also the case for many of the prominent generals during the war. I am a "rookie" when it comes to this, but as you know - it will take a lifetime to get the grip of the history. But,I am on the way.

The reason I have taken on JEB Stuart at Gettysburg is that he in many ways been a scapegoat for the loss of the battle for the Confederates. The story been told does give reasons and causes why he did arrive later to the battle.

I`ll look into the other soldiers you mentioned,Paul. Keep listening,my friend - and thanks for the response.
