This is the Confederate Monument at Forsyth Park, Savannah, Georgia. See the tall monument in the rear with the statue on top? Does anyone have a closeup picture of this statue? Supposedly it is one of those rare statues actually modeled by a live ex-Confederate soldier, Lt. Hamilton Branch, 57th GA. Even the uniform used is modeled after the one he wore in combat including the hole in his trousers were he was wounded.
