I hear ya Pam, anybody who made it to the good ole USA is luckey. Everone had hardships, but we live in the best country in the whole world,,, get on your knees and thank god for lettin us be the chosen ones.

Dont people realize, women too were slaves? they were sold to some rich old farmer to warm his bed, to have his children to keep his house and cook. (ladies out there can you imagine havin 10 kids?) women couldnt even vote. i do realize not all women had this kind of life, but many did.
Just go to the cemetaries and see how many young women and little babys died in the 1800

i think everone agrees slavery was deplorable, and never
should have happened, but the south should not have to take the blame,because it was the rich slave traders from the new england area that brought the slaves, and the government allowed it.
