Re: Perpetual Union and The Articles of Confederat

If the government had not changed during the War. Right now Bush would not be allowed to keep troops in Iraq against Congress's will. The States would have provided the Troops and withdrwan said troops whenever they wished.

Is this a good thing? I don't know, but a President is susposed to listen to the will of the people. But with our government, the only people our representatives listen to are the ones who contribute millions of dollars to campaign funds.
