Hello. A comment such as it is.
The Confederate cemetery you are speaking of was not anywhere near Little Rock especially in that day and time. It was where the Texas men who died of disease at what is now called Camp Nelson. The dead were buried by those men who were still strong enough to dig the graves.
The dead CSA men were treated by the Yankees worse than a dead dog is my opinion and certainly deserved better.
Also, as I understand it, the National cemetery did not come into being until after the war in Arkansas. The remains of Union men were dug up and transfered to either Little Rock or Memphis for burial.
