I learned a long time ago in conducting interviews of people involved in criminal events that all people will tell their experiences in a manner which cast themselves in the best possible light. Not that they were necessarily lying because each story has its elements of truth. The job of the interviewer is to find those elements of truth and discard the BS.
I agree with that statement.
The reconstruction in the south was NOT constructive!
Most blacks would disagree with that statement, and their people were living in the same South. They would say the aftermath was not constructive. Like I always say Doyle, it depends on whose ox is being gored.
Let me tell you what I think. Racial relations are tricky the world over, a homogeneous society, is not a bad thing.
