Allan, racisim exist amongst every group of people in the world. They have all commited acts of violence against one another. We now get into a touchy area, one where my view is probably different than most southerners and northerners is ( well than they will admit). I as stated before,believe you have every right to hate anyone that you want to hate. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sponsering hate. Bad Karma ya know? However when you practice violence or promote that against some other people, that's a whole nother ball of wax.

As for northerners not knowing much about the South. Yah in a sense. There are alot of people in Southern Indiana, Illinois and Ohio who are from the South or have roots there. However, untill I guess 25 years ago the population amogst whites in the south was pretty much from the same Anglo-Celtic stock. Whereas we have a somewhat more diverse stock up here, with people who's ancestors didn't come to this country till about the 1920s. Like I said, many of them are insular and keep to their own kind. The Souith and West to them are different world. They don't hate them, it's just not their world.

Lynchings against blacks existed in the South during Reconstruction and after. They also existed elswhere. I made that statement in this context. Since the 1960s, Black on white crime has every three years been more than any violence against blacks in the South (and yes elswhere) than during Reconstruction. What I was trying to say in Biblical terms is this "The heart of man is decietfully wicked" or something like that. I'm not up on my Bible...sadly.
