Kevin:
There is a positive side. As sad as the Coker House situation is, I am proud to tell you that the two newest homes in Raymond are two of the oldest. One antebellum home at least a mile back in the woods across the highway from me, not quite as bad as Coker house, was drug out somehow or another, moved into town and restored and is occupied. I missed the pilgrimage this fall, but am told it is inspiring to see on the inside. Also Circuit Court Judge Bobby DeLaughter and wife, moved "Hiawatha" from near Edwards to Raymond and are probably 75% done restoring it. Judge DeLaughter is a great friend, made famous as the Asst DA that prosecuted Byron DelaBeckwith for the murder of Medgar Evers. Lots of great things going on in Raymond re: preservation. John
