I'll hunt that down for you. That's a good weekend day trip for me and the wife. That's our usual drill, battlefields or cemeteries on the weekends. If there is a stream or lake near by we'll wet a line. I'll most likely be up there before the Stanardsville reenactment so I'll report back. And Ken, if you read this, I was born and raised in Lynchburg, VA. I had a second grade Sunday School teacher that took us on a field trip to Appomattox. Even at that young age it was a life changing trip. I've moved since then to Richmond and now to more hallowed ground east. I could take you on ground that the NPS wished they had rights to. Ground that yields the finest relics and the sacred remains of our ancestors. Every time a field is plowed there are bones that surface. We found an upper arm bone this spring that was cut as in an amputation. I actually had the priveledge of participating in a parade down Monument Avenue and the reinterment of four (apparently five from the remains, I saw them beforehand) of our Southern Heroes at Hollywood Cemetery just three years ago. Evidently the Good Lord has directed me to this area in which I live, in order to see that the history here is not forgotten. I can never even leave my driveway without the thought of the sacrifice and the bravery that were exhibited on both sides during that conflict. I am truly blessed to be a Son of Virginia and to be living in such a sacred area. We fly the Confederate Flag 24/7/365 at my house. Third National, just as my government decreed in the spring of '65.
