I choose this example because it most likely shows both Union and Confederates in the same photo, where neither is the prisoner of the other. It is listed as a Union flag of truce party. Unfortunately there is no date or location given. It looks to be on the northern side of Fredericksburg, Va. The Union party has used pontoon boats to cross the river.
