I seem to express this view about once a year with little if any response.

It is how wonderful it would be if all the excellent material containing sources (not the idle chit chat) posted on CW N&Vs could be captured and made available - say, along thematic or topical lines such that posters, lurkers, and others could quickly access and retrieve past threads that, for example, dealt with such topics or themes as "The events immediately preceding Ft Sumpter," or "Causes of the Civil War," "Reconstruction's lasting exonomic impact," or "Shiloh," etc.

Jim and Jamie, is this request completely out of the question, or is there a way to select our best posts and/or threads (would require some selection criteria) for future reference and/or retrieval along thematic lines, or are you doing this now unbeknownst to all of us?
