As a frequent contributor to the message boards at History-Sites.Com, you are allowed to post on-topic promotions in a limited form on these message boards. This appears to be for fund-raising and not for profit.

My only problem with promotions is when they are purely commercial or "for profit" and when messages are "broadcast" on all thirty-seven (37) or multiple sites without contacting the administration of these boards first.

I also limit the promotion of books or other Civil War related products, which are not authored by our "Contributing Authors" or regular contributors to these sites. However, if you respond to another poster with the name of a book and ordering instructions, I do not consider that a violation of my pledge to our Contributing Authors.

Thanks for asking in your post, whether this announcement was appropriate. That action alone, your courtesy, goes along way to convincing me to approve it.
