Records of the Medical Director at Richmond are in the War Department Collection of Confederate Records.

The Medical Director's Office also kept records relating to hospital patients. In Record Group 109 are a list of patients admitted to hospitals, 1862-1863 (ch. VI, vols 146 and 153.
