I see no reason to have celebrate Juneteenth either since it directed toward only one race of people. Why not have a national Confederate Memorial Day or a national Robert E. Lee day? These two days are celebrated in the Southern states still.

I would love to see a first hand source for this proposal, I for one will be writing my reps protesting the idea.
