I'm not sure how the new analysis has fared among historians generally, but I can tell you that the only Dahlgren markers down here in the Richmond area, are two or three state highway markers that track the progress of the raid. There's one about a half-mile from my house, placed near the intersection of Horsepen and Three Chopt roads, both of which existed then. He passed there as he traveled west-bound on Three Chopt shortly before his death.
