This is great stuff. There's been some interesting scholarship on Farnsworth's Charge recently.
I do have one question, though. Captain Henry C. Parsons of the 1st VT Cavalry, who after the war operated Natural Bridge in the Shenandoah Valley as a successful tourist attraction, was shot to death by a disgruntled former employee on June 29, 1894. I wonder who it was, then, who actually made the remarks (quoted here) in July 1863 at Gettysburg?
