David...I'm surely not questioning your comments on this photo as your posts on this and other boards are taken as "gospel" by me. You are very well read and your research and records are beyond reproach. I know this is obviously a well documented photo as you stated. But is there a reason why you speculate on these fellows being artillery? Was this fact stated somewhere in the photo's history? Or was it the fact that these fellows just look like artillery? Handsome, well dressed, large in stature in comparison to infantry of the day. Or was it because they seem to be well fed? hahaha. Us artillery reenactors always get picked at because there are quite a few that are "well rounded". ;-) Just a humurous comment in what seems to be a lull in the action on this board. Thanks for all of your input. I intended my post as sincere compliments.
