I am a creature of habit and have gotten to where my day just doesn't seem right unless I sit down and watch the back to back episodes of "The Rifleman" on the Westerns Channel every evening at 6:00 P.M. (Central time).

Todays opening episode guest starred Royal Dano. The episode starts off with Lucas McCain (Chuck Connors) wrestling a man. Now, old Lucas never took a whippin' on screen that I know of but today got himself "pinned" for a three count. Who was he wrestling? Why of course, Abe Lincoln! I couldn't put things together with them referring to this man as "Mr. President", "Mr. Lincoln" or "Abe". They even show the Matthew Brady photos of him and he tells young Mark McCain about the times when the pictures were taken.

Of course none of it made any sense until you learn that "Abe" was actually a veteran of the late unpleasantness who was suffering from what we may call PTDS. I'm not gonna ruin the story for anybody but was just wondering if anybody else watched this episode and if so what did you get out of it. If you haven't seen it look for episode #118.

P.S. Royal Dano did a great job impersonating Lincoln but then again he was a great actor in every role I ever saw him.
