I find it interesting that you come here and consistently gore the South yet you support the CBF.
As I said before, the only CBF I own is the little small CBF that are used to decorate graves. I was given this flag at a KKK protest. It was the first and only CBF I have ever owned. I just never to seem to have a reason for putting up the flagpole with a bunch of flags in my yard. I do have one of those flags things that attaches to the house at a 45 degree and I fly the Mississippi flag only. I put it up as a sign of my support for the Mississippi flag when efforts were being made to change our state flag. Perhaps some people took it as a “in your face” type of statement, I don’t know. I do know that I never suffered any vandalism or anything of that nature. Now I keep a Mississippi flag flying because of various situations in our country that has to do with more heritage than politics. The people who wanted to change our state flag for some reason wanted to us the US flag as their symbol of protest. They had bumper stickers that said “One nation, one Flag” on it. Never did quite understand how that related to the issue at hand. We simply wanted to keep our state flag, not take over the country. Anyway most places that supported the flag change started flying US flags. I no longer deal with them.
Just a short statement on “white supremacy” and that will be all, we can debate that issue at another time -- we have had some good ones haven’t we?
White supremacy was not a southern or slave owner thing; it was the same situation in the north. The difference is everyone wants to put this load unfairly on the back of southerners and especially anything Confederate.
Another question if you don’t mind, you say a lot of people fly the CBF to made a “up yours” statement, how do you know? What gives you the idea that is the statement the person is trying to make?
