That is one of the most important things you've said on this board, and I agree with you completely. How many times have I watched some critically important issue being debated in Congress, only to have the discussion deteriorate into a partisan free-for-all. Our politicians should be putting the interests of the country ahead of party, but far too often they fail to do so.
