That kind of reminds me of the House and Senate bills that granted Great Grandpa Alex an increase in his pension to $30 per month in 1905. Imagine getting a dollar a day. That would be about what a working man made per day at that time. I think his first one was $8 per month. I have a copiy of the bill from the house with reference to the Senate bill.
