First of all an apology does no good and is a useless waste of air, if there is not a change of attitude that accompanies that apology.

Second why should I apologize for any act of my forefathers, IF I believe their actions was honorable, just and correct? If I were in their same situation, their shoes, having the same knowledge that they did and not what we know today, under the same conditions, would I have done the same thing as they? If the answer is yes to that question, why apologize when they did what you would have done too?

It is not rebellion to stand upon your principal. If it is then we're in good company in the annuls of History.
