I don't know of one that would even come close David. That decision had to be the biggest in our history since the Revolution. The slavery issue tied into the states rights issue sure did confuse the historians. Not sure it was an either/or but both, but not being there at that time it's hard to go by written word. They are all given with a point of view and not an overall 'sense' of things. I so often wish I'd had the chance to talk to at least one of mine just for a while. :)
