I've searched everywhere and I can't find a list of these so-called "65 historians". The only one referenced in any of the articles is Edna Medford. Here is a link to her Howard university webpage, http://www.coas.howard.edu/history/faculty_Medford.html .
I find it interesting that Lincoln was No. 1 and this lady who is listed as a "survey adviser and participant" in other locations, is referred to as a "Lincoln Historian". Sounds like kind of a fixed deal to me.
To me it's just another attempt by a group of anonymous ideologs to promote "their" views as some credentialed and pervasive viewpoint. Hogwash!
Why don't we have 65 of our participants/historians do a poll of the best president and submit the results to a national publication? You think they'd print it?
