Sure, Cump. The family name is KUHL. Homer's father came from West Virginia in the late 1800's or early 1900's. On the 1920 census he listed the family as American Indian, but Homer denied this. The current bunch could be either Indian or not; the looks vary on members of the same family. The youngest brother, Lawrence, is county judge of Laurel County, whose seat is London. He looks German, or at least European, but his sons look like their mother, who does have Cherokee blood. Given the move from WV, I don't know if any were in KY during the WTBS. One of the sisters worked at Sears in Whitesburg in the 1960's and 70's. Stan
