Re: The Alternative to CW - Lincoln's Position?

I've studied the census' of 1870,1880, 1900, 1910, etc. In Mississippi and Alabama there is a shift in how white Southerners related to blacks by where they lived. After reconstruction neighborhoods in the South began to segregate and got more so towards the 1900s; where as before reconstruction the whites and blacks lived together. What does that say?
