Chief, 1790 would be about a hundred years after the first Boring arrived from Ireland. His descendents spread north west and south, into Pennsyvania, Ohio, North and south Carolina, and finally into Georgia. My first McCollum anscestor landed in New Jersey from Scotland in the early 1730s. They headed south. My 3gf, Peter McCollum, fought in South Carolina during the Revolution, and received a land grant in Georgia in the 1821 land lottery. He died shortly afterward. Stan
